The Extremehorizon surf shop is located in the sand Dunes at one of Mablethorpe's pristine, blue flag award winning beaches. The shop is only metres from the beach were we sell a great range of surfboards, surfing accessories and hardware. We also hire surfboards/ wetsuits and operate a surf school providing surfing lessons from BSA qualified surfing instructors.

Lincolnshire's North Sea coast has gentle waves throughout most of the summer which are ideal for learning to surf and hiring some equipment is a great way to start. Surf rental pricing
Surfboard and Wetsuit rental rates for peak season: (May - August) half day £15 one day £20
Body board and wetsuit hire £12 half day, £15 full day

Rental Day = 10.00am to 5.00pm (all equipment must be returned by 5.00pm). No refunds given on Hire Equipment. Any loss or damage has to be paid for.
Please note: for security reasons, either a debit card/credit card are needed as a deposit. These are kept safe awaiting your return. Also, we of course can't guarentee perfect sea and weather conditions so please check with us before you arrive.

Surf Lessons
The Extremehorizon Surf school lessons are the perfect introduction to experiencing the joy of surfing a wave. Our surf lesson's HQ is based in the sand dunes of Mablethorpe, only a minutes walk from the Blue Flag award winning golden beaches of East Lincolnshire. The surf school is run primarily during the summer months, when the waters of the North sea become suprisingly warm and the waves are ideal for learning to surf.
Our BSA qualified instructors teach in an environment where you can master surfing's basics, including how to stay safe in the water and surfing etiquette, offering a solid foundation for becoming a competent surfer.
Surf lessons are open to abilities and from ages 8 years and above
Surf lesson pricing
- Half day session per person (am or pm, approx 2 hours): £30
- Full day session (approx 4 hours with lunch break): £55
- Stag/hen parties, one to one tuition, families etc, call us for a quote.

Equipment
The course includes a surfboard and wetsuit, but you'll need to bring along a towel and swim wear. Storage of belongings is available if required
The lesson
The actual surf lessons will include a combination of beach and water based tuition. Students will learn the following surfing techniques: wave selection, paddling a surfboard, standing on a board and safe surfing.
Safety
For safety reasons you will need to be able to swim. Surf lessons take place in waist deep water and individuals will be coached based upon their own levels of confidence.
